BIOGRAPHY

as a singer

 

Since 2006 Juan has had experience as a soloist singer with orchestras and opera companies. In the last years has increased his activity as choral singer performing with important groups such as Coro Juvenil Andino; Coro Giovanile Italiano; UT Ensemble; Britten Choeur, Utopia & Reality Choir, Kilden Vokalensemble, Coro della Cattedrale di Siena Accademia Chigiana. 

 

His debut in opera was in the role of Ogro in the chamber opera El Gato con Botas by spanish composer Xavier Montsalvatge. Has performed in roles as Baron Douphol, Verdi's La Traviata; Benoit and Almidoro in Puccini's La Boheme; Noye in Britten's The Noye's Fludde; Basilio in Rossini's The Barber of Seville; as well as first roles in the premieres of contemporary chamber operas as Laura Crescini's Il Cavaglier Bianco and his own operas Peccatrice and Processo ad Elena. 

 

Currently Juan studies Opera singing and interpretation with world famous tenor William Matteuzzi. During the years have had the honour to study with important singers as Paoletta Marrocu, Alessandra Rezza, Valeria Esposito, Eric Riutama Lasse, Francoise Biscara, Franco de Grandis. Masterclasses with Manuel Garrido, Nicola Ulivieri, Camilo Mendoza, Barbara Mezaros.
